CV Pre OP RN

This position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends and no call. The team works three 12‑hour shifts per week, with start times that may vary between 5:00 AM, 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM.

• Patient Ratio: 1 RN : 3 patients
• Equipment: Dash monitors, EKG machines
• EMR: Meditech

Patient Care & Procedures

The CV Prep unit supports cardiovascular procedural readiness and recovery. Typical responsibilities include:

• Preparing patients for Cath Lab, CVOR, and EP Lab procedures
• Recovering patients from moderate sedation following procedures

Candidate Profile

Required Skills

Candidates must demonstrate competency in:

• IV access
• Cardiac monitoring
• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license

Preferred Experience

Candidates with the following will be prioritized:

• Prior Pre‑Op experience
• Prep and/or PACU experience

Team Culture

The unit is close‑knit, collaborative, and highly supportive. The ideal candidate values teamwork and communication.

• ACLS
• BCLS

Floating Expectations

• May float to other areas of the hospital for task‑based support.
