Kindred Hospital Clear Lake is a long‑term acute care (LTAC) hospital specializing in the treatment of patients recovering from post‑intensive care and medically complex conditions. Our hospital provides both intensive care and telemetry‑level services, offering advanced monitoring and support for patients requiring extended medical care. With a multidisciplinary team dedicated to personalized treatment plans, we focus on helping patients achieve significant recovery and transition to the next level of care.

Supervises nursing staff, assesses patient needs, and provides nursing care. Plans and organizes training for unit staff members and participates in guidance and educational programs.

• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate designated nursing staff; assign duties and coordinate nursing services.
• Participate in developing nursing protocols and procedures.
• Provide continuing education and staff development opportunities.
• Assess patient needs; participate in providing nursing care; ensure services are carried out and documented appropriately.
• Maintain patient health care records.
• Maintain supply inventory records; order supplies and equipment as necessary.

• Supervisory skills and ability to evaluate job performance.
• Ability to make decisions and accept responsibility for the work unit.
• Time‑management skills and ability to organize priorities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient and/or employee information to protect rights.
• Must have good and regular attendance.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Approximate percent of time required to travel: 0%.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Education:
  Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  Valid state Registered Nurse license and Valid BLS certification.
• Experience:
  Two years of nursing experience in a hospital; 1–2 years supervisory/leadership experience.
