Job SummaryAs an Acute Med Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse, you will coordinate nursing care of assigned patients in the unit to provide quality patient care. You will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, exercising independent judgment, and provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel to maintain professional standards.
Responsibilities- Coordinate nursing care of assigned patients in the unit to provide quality patient care.
- Apply necessary knowledge and skills to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety, and related criteria for appropriate age populations.
- Exercise independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
- Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards in the clinical setting.
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (RN Compact License holders must obtain a Texas RN license within 90 days of hire).
- American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
- 1 year of clinical Med‑Surg experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting is required.
