Licensed Vocational Nurse

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical setting. The LVN will provide direct bedside nursing, administer medications, monitor vital signs, perform treatments, and support physicians and RNs in developing and implementing care plans. Responsibilities include patient assessments within LVN scope, documentation in the EMR, patient and family education, and coordination of discharge needs.

The LVN upholds safety and infection control standards, participates in quality initiatives, and contributes to a culture of teamwork, learning, and continuous improvement in patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within LVN scope under supervision of RNs and physicians
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor, record, and report patient vital signs and status changes
• Perform basic wound care, specimen collection, and clinical procedures
• Document care and assessments accurately in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and follow-up care
• Support development and implementation of individualized care plans
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharges
• Participate in quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
