The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory control and supporting daily warehouse operations within a regulated medical device environment. This position ensures that all materials, components, and finished goods are properly received, stored, and distributed while meeting Ansh Labs Quality System requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, components, and products against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Support shipping operations, including packaging, labeling, and coordinating with carriers.
- Ensure all materials are accurately entered into SAP properly identified for traceability.
- Maintain organized and compliant warehouse storage areas following FIFO (First In, First Out), FEFO (First Expired, First Out), and environmental control requirements.
- Ensure Expired Material is moved to correct storage location in SAP and physically and notify proper parties for lot extensions, etc.
- Perform material counts as required and assist with periodic cycle counts and physical inventories; reconcile discrepancies and document findings.
- Work in coordination with Finance to reconcile material/inventory adjustments.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure timely replenishment and prevent shortages.
- Issue and return materials to and from production using proper SAP transactions.
- Ensure components material and finished product are properly identified, labeled, and stored according to company and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with Quality and Operations to resolve material issues and maintain compliance with documentation procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of warehouse areas in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- 1–3 years of warehouse or inventory control experience in a regulated industry; medical device or pharmaceutical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, SAP.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 inventory control and documentation requirements.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (carts, pallet jack, barcode scanner).
- Excellent attention to details, organization, and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
