Your Responsibilities- Plan, lead, and timely execute audits and issue assurances in line with expected budgets.
- Meet our internal standards for the quality, execution, and documentation of work, taking account of legal entity coverage expectations.
- Highlight where controls are functioning well or where UBS needs to act to better manage current and emerging risks, and elevate any significant concerns.
- Develop issues and audit reports according to our internal reporting and issue disposition standards that are fully supported by the work done and require minimal feedback from reviewers.
- Successfully collaborate with peers in and across audit teams.
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with colleagues and relevant stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.

In our agile operating model, audit crews are aligned to business and functional areas, products and services and consist of a number of autonomous teams. The US Credit and Global Commercial Lending Team (including UK and Europe SE) is part of the Credit Risk Audit Crew. The role will be based in New York/ Weehawken/Stamford or London and focus on audits covering primarily the Credit Risk Control functions that oversee the US Wealth Management and global Investment Bank lending businesses.
Additionally, we periodically support audits of the first line of defense for specific products within Wealth Management and the Investment Bank.
- Bachelor’s degree with ideally 5 or more years of experience in a similar position focused on corporate lending within the Investment Bank or Wealth Management.
- Strong analytical skills and quantitative approach to problem solving.
- Able to work independently, quickly understand complex processes and challenge the status quo, identifying risks and inadequacies in processes.
- Willingness to keep up with industry, regulatory developments and learn new concepts and methods.
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders.
- Solid credit risk foundation with in-depth understanding in one or more of the following areas: (i) Wealth Management product offerings, (ii) IB corporate lending including Leveraged Finance and/or Private Credit/Equity, or (iii) problem loan and impaired asset management.
- Strong foundation of local regulatory requirements (e.g., OCC Heightened Standards in the US) is an asset.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications. Data analytics / AI experience is a plus.
