4th of July Special Events Security Officers $30hour

Weehawken, NJ, United States of America

Location: Courtyard by Marriott Edgewater, 3 Pembroke Pl, Edgewater, NJ 07020. Parking available (1st floor only).

Schedule: 3pm-7pm, July 4th. Possible additional days for Fleet week (July 2nd-9th, 2026), may require extended shifts.

Pay: $30 per hour (holiday pay rate).

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property and access points.
• Investigates & reports security breaches, incidents, and other alarming or suspicious activity to the shift supervisor.
• Enforces all rules & regulations required to ensure a safe environment.
• Conducts crowd management to ensure orderly ingress and egress.
• Provides assistance and support to guests as needed.
• Collaborates effectively with other security team members and event staff.
• Responds promptly & appropriately to any security incidents or emergencies.
• Maintains the organization’s stability & reputation by complying with legal requirements.

• Minimum of 2+ years security experience.
• Ability to work in high pedestrian traffic environments.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm & composed in high-pressure situations.
• Standing for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Shift durations typically 14-16 hours; occasional longer shifts depending on event.
• Willingness to adhere to all company policies & procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, committed to upholding highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Active NJ SORA Security License.
• Event Security Experience highly preferred.
