Qualifications / Experience- LETRS trained or currently enrolled in the LETRS training program
- Fully certified K-6 Elementary Teacher
- Minimum of five successful years of K-5 teaching experience required
- Ability to attend mandatory WVDE position training on July 20-22, 2026 in Charleston
- Master's Degree preferred
- Coaching experience preferred
- Experience facilitating school-centered coaching cycles preferred
- Experience with school-level data collection and accountability for grant reporting preferred
- Experience in supporting adult learners preferred
Responsible for providing school-based professional learning and support to staff following the student-centered coaching cycle
Roles & Responsibilities- Provide coaching, mentoring, modeling, and training to K-5 staff
- Maintain data collection and documentation of support
- Facilitate meetings with teachers and principals
- Provide instructional support
- Facilitate or participate in PLCs
- Support teachers in implementing evidence-based literacy practices
- Model and co-teach high-yield strategies
- Support collaborative planning
- Analyze instructional and student data with teachers
- Collaborate with principals to strengthen Tier 1 instruction
- Conduct classroom walkthrough with constructive feedback
- Provide targeted professional development
- Follow WVDE monitoring protocols for initiative implementation
- Participate in WVDE coordinated mentoring and professional development
