Salary:
Commensurate with experience and degree level, according to Hancock County Schools salary schedule for professionals.
Supervisor:
School Principal (immediate), Superintendent or designee for evaluation.
- Provide individualized instruction to meet each student's potential.
- Document student progress and report fairly and accurately per school policy.
- Conduct professional interactions with superiors, co‑workers, parents, and students.
- Complete required reporting to immediate supervisor.
- Assist with general school duties such as hall, bus, lunch, and other supervisory tasks as needed.
- Execute program of study and foster a learning‑conducive classroom climate.
- Use instructional management systems to maximize time on task.
- Monitor and report student progress toward learning outcomes.
- Maintain and enhance professional skills and teaching techniques.
- Promote positive pupil‑teacher‑parent relationships.
- Maintain professional work habits, attitudes and appearance.
- Incorporate differentiated instruction.
- Co‑teach when appropriate.
- Implement Multi‑Tiered System of Support (MTSS).
- Integrate technology in the classroom.
- Valid West Virginia teaching certification for the specific position (multi‑categorical/Autism).
- Current WVDE teaching certification in Multi‑categorical/Autism.
