Role DescriptionForm Energy is hiring a Staff Network Engineer. The Staff Network Engineer – will be a technical leader responsible for the architecture, design, and reliability of Form Energy’s hybrid enterprise and industrial network environments. This role will focus on securely integrating IT and OT systems while maintaining the high availability, safety, and performance required for manufacturing and operational environments.
This is a highly hands‑on role with significant architectural influence, partnering closely with IT, Security, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to support Form Energy’s rapid growth and mission‑critical infrastructure.

Form Factory 1 – Form Energy’s 550,000‑square‑foot, state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility located in Weirton, WV, a commutable distance from Pittsburgh. Purpose‑built for high‑volume, advanced battery production, Form Factory 1 is a hub of fast‑moving, collaborative work driving a new era of large‑scale American energy manufacturing in the heart of the Rust Belt.
This is a hybrid role, which will require working onsite from our office 3 days per week.

What You’ll Do- Design, configure, and implement network infrastructure solutions that support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including manufacturing, operations, and IT, to understand business requirements and translate them into network design specifications.
- Conduct network capacity planning and performance monitoring to ensure optimal network operation and scalability.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware, software, and peripheral devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as NERC‑CIP (North American Electric Reliability Corporation – Critical Infrastructure Protection) for SCADA systems in the utility sector.
- At least 10 years working as a network engineer. Extensive experience in network engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing enterprise‑level networks.
- Industry recognized certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CMSS) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPNs, and SD‑WAN.
