Role Description

We are hiring a Quality Engineer to drive continual product and process improvements of our pioneering technology. You will develop quality processes and methodologies and lead and participate in cross‑functional teams, working with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Suppliers and Operations to address and improve quality, reliability and manufacturability issues. This is a hands‑on, individual contributor role focused on the entire product development lifecycle, from early R&D to validation testing, pilot builds and ultimately SOP/customer deliveries.

You will be an integral part of Form Energy’s Quality Team, helping ensure that all products meet customer and company requirements.

What You'll Do
  • Work closely with Design/Manufacturing Engineering to develop and document measurement, inspection, and test methods in support of our Control Plans.
  • Support change management and execution of process development experiments.
  • Regularly review PFMEAs and Control Plans and support updates and revisions.
  • Lead or assist in the identification and resolution of manufacturing quality issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities with Design/Manufacturing Engineering and external Suppliers.
  • Support Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities and use critical thinking to efficiently reduce variation during manufacturing.
  • Lead non-conforming material control activities.
What You'll Bring
  • 5–10 years of quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SPC, PFMEAs and Control Plans.
  • Strong aptitude with electronic test and measurement systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Structured problem‑solving (8D) and analytical skills, including strong technical skills in statistical tools, DOE, and Process Capability (Cpk, Ppk).
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment while maintaining detail‑oriented record‑keeping and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage, synthesize, and interpret data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV — a 550,000‑square‑foot facility that serves as our hub for high‑volume battery production and a leader in American energy manufacturing. Relocation assistance is available.
