Job Summary:
The MR Calibration Engineer performs calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of MR equipment during installation and service, leading the calibration process and serving as the primary contact for customers. The role involves onsite work primarily in the Washington D.C. area with up to 50% overnight travel.
- Lead, troubleshoot, and complete calibration of designated MR systems and new product introduction (NPI) under minimal supervision.
- Maintain tools and test equipment, ensuring proper calibration.
- Proactively engage with the Account Community to communicate status of calibration.
- Ensure timely closure of all service activities and use GEHC escalation process when needed.
- Support local service teams with service calls, preventive maintenance, and field modification instruction when not scheduled for calibrations.
- Assist and train less experienced MR Field Engineers during calibration.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; or Military Externship Program; or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment.
- Experience interfacing with internal and external customers as part of a solution-based process.
- Experience with web applications and Microsoft Office suite.
- Compliance with vendor credentialing requirements.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to work evenings, occasional weekends, and travel up to 50% overnight.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
- Soldering experience.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and manage own schedule.
- Strong organizational and project‑management skills.
- Experience reading blueprints, equipment schematics.
- Adaptability and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted; frequent bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching/squatting, kneeling/crawling, sitting, and standing for long periods.
- Reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; good hand and finger dexterity.
- Specific vision abilities: color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception.
- Seek assistance for items >50 lbs. if no lift aids available.
- Pay range: $69,600.00–$ annual for U.S. based positions.
