Locations: Multiple Locations

Work Location: This position is 100% in office. The employee will work full time in an office in a designated Wes Banco location. Consideration for location will be Follansbee, and will float to Weirton Penco, Steubenville and Wellsburg Banking Centers.

Market: Wheeling

Work Hours per Week: 37.5

Responsibilities
  • Personally models the standards of the Bank's Mission, Vision, and Pledge.
  • Initiates conversations to assess the financial needs of Banking Center customers and makes recommendations and referrals to business partners for promotion of bank products and services.
  • Accepts and accurately processes all financial service transactions.
  • Opens new deposit accounts and operates a cash drawer, following proper balancing and cash handling procedures, while identifying opportunities for additional products and services and making qualified referrals.
  • Complies with security and audit procedures.
  • Achieves production and referral goals through relationship-building activities, including customer consultations, outbound calls, partner referrals, and onboarding calls to acquire new customer relationships or expand existing ones.
  • Communicates and partners effectively with branch staff to promote a team environment and meet goals.
  • Sets priorities by monitoring performance against banking center goals and adjusting activities to meet them.
  • Maintains outbound calling activity and promotes bank products with appropriate referrals as defined by location goals.
  • Educates the team on uncovering opportunities to advance customers’ financial wellness.
  • Supports day-to-day operations including client service, opening/closing procedures, vault duties, cash control, inventory, and compliance requirements.
  • Participates in regular staff meetings and supports customers and prospects with product explanations and problem resolution.
  • Builds relationships with internal partners and seeks constructive feedback when appropriate.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and follows guidelines and procedures, using available resources as needed.
  • Maintains security controls to protect the banking center against risk and fraud.
  • Keeps sensitive information confidential and secure.
  • Contributes to a team environment by handling incoming calls and other duties to support the Banking Center’s success.
Essential Functions & Duties
  • Created a positive customer experience aligned with the Bank’s standards.
  • Assess financial needs and refer customers to appropriate partners for product promotion.
  • Process financial transactions accurately and securely.
  • Open new deposit accounts and manage cash drawer with proper balancing.
  • Follow security, audit, and compliance procedures.
  • Meet production and referral goals through outreach and relationship-building activities.
  • Collaborate with branch staff to achieve goals and maintain service quality.
  • Promote bank products and make referrals as per location goals.
  • Support onboarding and customer education to advance financial wellness.
  • Assist with daily operations, including open/close procedures and vault support.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in community engagements when applicable.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Banking, cash handling, sales, and customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook 365; capable of learning banking software programs.
  • Strong consumer lending knowledge and ability to promote related products.
  • Ability to generate new financial relationships through outbound calling and business development.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task and adapt.
  • Sound mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret diverse instructions.
Other Requirements
  • Banking is highly regulated; must maintain proficiency in bank policies and complete compliance training.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and internal partners.
