Role DescriptionForm Energy is seeking an experienced Director of Operations Finance to serve as the finance partner to our manufacturing and supply chain leadership team. In this role, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and directly support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) to transform the company from technology to mass production.
You will drive improvements in manufacturing & supply chain costs, working capital, and capital expenditure; lead financial planning, cost accounting & inventory management, and capital planning & fixed assets, and build a high‑performing operations finance team. Partnering closely with Corporate FP&A and the Corporate Controller, you will balance growth with robust financial discipline, accurate reporting, and strong internal controls.

What you’ll do:Strategic Business Partnership: Serve as the primary financial advisor to the COO and Operations executives, translating complex operational performance into actionable financial strategies.
Drive Decision Support: Guide strategic decision‑making through rigorous financial modeling, business case development, and deep operational insights across operations, engineering and supply chain.
Financial Planning & Scale Analysis
:
Partner with Corporate Planning, owning the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long‑range financial planning for all manufacturing plants and operations.Capital Allocation: Develop and execute capital allocation frameworks and ROI analyses for multi‑million‑dollar manufacturing expansions and Cap Ex initiatives.
Cost & Inventory Architecture
:
Oversee cost accounting, variance analysis, and inventory valuation processes to drive maximum visibility into plant profitability.Asset Management
:
Maintain financial oversight over fixed assets, inventory management, and manufacturing cost reduction initiatives.Compliance & Rigor: Partner with the Corporate Controller to ensure an accurate accounting close, robust internal controls, and SOX 404 compliance.
Build the Team: Recruit, mentor, and retain a world‑class operations finance team (including Cost Accountants, Fixed Asset Accountants, and Analysts).
Bridge the Gap: Foster seamless collaboration between plant‑level finance, corporate FP&A, and core accounting teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline.
