The Environmental Resources Specialist 2 performs professional work to ensure implementation of the EPA's Safe Drinking Water Act in an assigned District Office area. Responsibilities include conducting sanitary surveys of public water systems, providing technical assistance to water system operators, responding to emergency situations, investigating complaints, and may require expert witness testimony at legal hearings. This is a field position requiring 24/7/365 on-call availability for emergency response and disaster relief.
KeyQualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in environmental protection or natural resources acquisition, preservation, protection and enhancement
- Experience in agency-specific areas related to environmental impact
