Transportation Program Manager - Statewide

The Transportation Program Manager 1 will report to the Operations Division of the Department of Transportation but work throughout the state of West Virginia. This position will assist the Disaster Coordinator in ongoing management and monitoring of the recovery for statewide disasters from storms, flooding, and other disasters. The incumbent will develop and distribute statewide training materials of West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) emergency procedures, regulations, and the WDOH Program Management Systems.

The incumbent will also prepare reports reflecting the Disaster Management Program's operational status, provides information and keeps close coordination with upper management, other Divisions, Districts, FEMA, FHWA, and outside agencies regarding WVDOH business decisions on reimbursement disaster grants. Performs related work as required.

** Preference may be given to Candidates with these qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Substitution:
  Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in a professional, administrative, technical, or supervisory position may substitute for the required training/education on a year-for-year basis, through an established formula.

• Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in a professional, administrative, technical, or supervisory position.
• Substitution:
  Successful completion of graduate coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, through an established formula.
