Job Description:
Provide hands-on engineering support during the launch and production ramp of a highly automated battery cell assembly line transitioning from commissioning into manufacturing. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues across automated assembly equipment including robotic pick-and-place systems, servo motion systems, automated joining processes, resistance/laser/IR welding, leak testing, and inspection equipment. Independently perform root cause analysis on production and equipment issues, implement corrective actions, and validate improvements to line performance, quality, and first-pass yield.
Support production readiness activities by closing out commissioning documentation, validating manufacturing processes, and ensuring the line is prepared for full-rate production. Must Haves:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline. 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting automated assembly production environments (strong internships/co-op experience may be considered if launch experience is demonstrated). Experience supporting manufacturing line launches, production ramps, equipment commissioning, or new manufacturing introductions. Hands-on troubleshooting experience with automated manufacturing equipment.
