The ideal candidate combines software development, instrumentation integration, hardware troubleshooting, and cross‑functional leadership on the factory floor. Relocation assistance is available.

What you’ll do
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing test software for cell, module, and pack-level product testing.
  • Design hardware and software architectures supporting scalability, maintainability, and long‑term operational support, including HMI and PLC automation, MES, and database systems.
  • Develop and deploy manufacturing test equipment supporting new product introductions and process development initiatives.
  • Create test fixtures, hardware interfaces, and instrumentation architectures supporting production and equipment safety requirements.
  • Lead equipment validation activities and production readiness reviews.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, MES, and Operations teams to define and implement manufacturing test requirements.
  • Define test readiness requirements and plan & execute activities for new products, process changes, and factory expansion efforts.
  • Own the Manufacturing Test decision-making in PFMEA, control plans, risk assessments, and design for manufacturability and test.
  • Develop technical documentation and training, including test procedures, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and equipment specifications for sustaining operations.
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for manufacturing test equipment, software, and process issues during development, commissioning, and production ramp activities.
  • Serve as a technical resource for manufacturing and operations teams during equipment deployment and production launch to ensure test systems meet quality and performance requirements.
What you’ll bring
  • 5+ years of experience developing automated test systems in manufacturing, product development, or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated ownership of complete test systems from concept through deployment.
  • Experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Experience integrating manufacturing test systems with MES, databases, or enterprise software systems.
  • Experience developing and scaling manufacturing test systems from prototype, pilot, or low-volume production environments into high-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting new factory launches, production ramp activities, or capacity expansion initiatives.
  • Experience establishing test architectures, software frameworks, processes, and standards that enable long-term growth and operational scalability.
  • Experience with industrial and embedded communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, Ethernet-based protocols, UART, SPI, I2C, Protobuf, or similar technologies.
