Welder

Mancan in partnership with a manufacturing company based in Weirton, seeking skilled MIG Welders to join our team. As a MIG Welder, you will play a crucial role in the production process, responsible for welding various metal components to fabricate high-quality products. This is a full-time position offering an initial hourly wage of $17.00 per hour, with potential for growth based on performance and dedication.

Prior welding experience is essential, and while certification is not required, proficiency in MIG welding techniques is a must. Shift will be Monday-Friday 6AM-4PM.

Responsibilities:
-Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding to join metal parts and components according to specifications and blueprints.
-Set up welding equipment, including selecting appropriate settings and adjusting machinery for optimal weld quality.
-Ensure all welds meet quality standards and inspect finished products to identify and correct any defects or imperfections.
-Collaborate with the production team to prioritize work orders and meet production schedules effectively.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and promoting a safe work environment.
-Troubleshoot and resolve any welding-related issues or equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
-Work with various metals and materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, as required by specific projects.
-Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate weld placement.
-Continuously monitor welding operations and adjust techniques as needed to maintain consistent weld quality.
-Assist in the assembly and fabrication of metal products as needed, contributing to the overall manufacturing process.

Requirements:
-Proven experience in MIG welding with a strong understanding of welding techniques and principles.
-Proficiency in operating MIG welding equipment and related tools.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
-Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality welds.
-Must have your own welding helmet and steel toe boots
-Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate to heavy objects.
-Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
-Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in meeting work schedules.
-Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
-Welding certification is not required, but it will be considered a plus.
