Role Description This full-time, on-site Real Estate Social Media Moderator role at Retal Developments is based in Fifth, WV. The moderator will manage and monitor the company’s social media channels, respond to comments and direct messages, and ensure timely, professional engagement with current and potential clients. Daily tasks include reviewing user-generated content, enforcing community guidelines, escalating sensitive issues to the appropriate internal teams, and maintaining a positive brand presence online.
The role also involves collaborating with marketing and sales teams to align messaging, supporting the promotion of property listings and events, and preparing basic performance reports on audience engagement and feedback. The moderator will help identify trends, frequently asked questions, and opportunities to improve online customer experience.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage and moderate social media communities, including responding to comments and messages in a professional, service-oriented manner.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and style to different platforms and audiences.
- Attention to detail and sound judgment when reviewing user-generated content and enforcing community standards.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, Tik Tok, Linked In) and how audiences engage with real estate content.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to resolve issues and align messaging.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple conversations, tasks, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working on-site in Fifth, WV and engaging directly with internal stakeholders to address online inquiries.
- Previous experience in social media moderation, customer support, or community management; experience in real estate or property management is a plus.
- High level of professionalism, empathy, and discretion when handling sensitive or escalated client interactions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in communications, marketing, or a related field is beneficial.
