A Travel Stepdown RN provides specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units, requiring frequent monitoring and complex interventions.
Responsibilities:- Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs
- administer medications
- assist with cardiac procedures
- ensure patient safety and comfort
- document assessments
- respond to emergencies
- educate patients on cardiac health
- collaborate with healthcare teams
- and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
- One year of recent stepdown experience
- valid RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- critical thinking
- excellent communication
- physical ability to handle equipment
- strong interpersonal and technical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality is essential
