Traveling Cath Lab Nurse

As a Traveling Cath Lab Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients, including those affected by COVID-19. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will work closely with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure the well-being of patients during their time in the catheterization laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Position and immobilize patients on the examining table following specified protocols.
• Continuously assess patient hemodynamics and monitor vital signs.
• Perform conscious sedation as required.
• Mix and maintain IV/IC infusion and bolus medications.
• Promptly alert the Physician to any changes in patient responses.
• Assist the Physician during interventional procedures.
• Facilitate the recovery of patients to Phase I post-procedure.
• Adhere to the dress code by wearing provided scrubs/Navy Blue attire.
• Utilize Sorian EMR for accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of current Cath Lab experience is required.
• 2+ years of experience in cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures is required.
• Moderate Sedation Certification is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in interpreting EKG and Hemodynamic pressure tracings is required.
• Experience in conscious sedation and IV administration is required.
• Experience in Electrophysiology (EP) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Sorian EMR is preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience of one plus years is required.
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is preferred.

Profile Requirements:

• Detailed work history.
• Skills checklist pertinent to the position, current to within 1 year.
• Two signed references from a Supervisor (from within the past two years of employment).
• Up-to-date nursing license, which must be uploaded with the profile.
• Current certifications (ACLS and BLS from AHA) must be uploaded with the profile or listed in the profile as currently held.

License Requirements:

• Must have a nursing license in the state of West Virginia or Compact License allowed.
