Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

$2252.16/week –

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, managing moderate to high acuity cases with a focus on cardiac and post-procedural patients. Ensure comprehensive patient care delivery in a fast-paced environment consistent with hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, including cardiac status and vital signs.
• Administer and titrate multiple titratable IV drips such as Cardizem, Amio, Nitro, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Angiomax.
• Perform patient care activities including ADLs, bathing, toileting, feeding, repositioning, and blood sugar checks.
• Respond to call lights promptly and manage patient needs efficiently to prioritize safety and comfort.
• Interpret telemetry data, identify arrhythmias, and report findings to attending physicians.
• Collaborate with ICU attending staff, respiratory therapists, and other team members ensuring seamless patient care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Stepdown or PCU experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, management of cardiac drips, and tele interpretation.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot respiratory equipment including vents, BiPaps, and trachs.
• Ability to work flexible shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
