Registered Nurse Imc/Pcu/Stepdown

Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will manage patients with various cardiac and post-operative conditions, ensuring optimal outcomes through expert clinical skills and compassionate support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care by performing assessments, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
• Manage titratable IV drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Dopamine, and Dobutamine while ensuring patient safety.
• Conduct routine ADLs such as bathing, toileting, feeding, repositioning, and responding to call lights.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists to coordinate patient care and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
• Interpret telemonitor readings, identify arrhythmias, and document findings accurately.
• Assist with emergency protocols, including seizure management, CIWA protocols, and post-procedure care.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid unexpired RN license.
• Have at least 2 years of recent Stepdown/PCU experience.
• Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Be proficient in cardiac monitoring, titrating IV drips, and interpreting telemetry strips.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
