Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position located on a hospital acute care unit. This role involves providing patient care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients, utilizing cardiac monitoring, managing drips, and performing routine nursing duties. The position offers a challenging environment requiring clinical expertise and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital setting.

• Schedule:
  
  12-hour shifts, days and nights, with weekends as scheduled. The assignment begins on 09/28/2026 and ends on 12/28/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid license to submit. Minimum of 2 years of Step Down (STEP DOWN) nursing experience. Certifications must include BLS and ACLS.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience with cardiac monitoring and titration of cardiac drips including cardizem, amio, nitro, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, angiomax. Ability to interpret telemetry strips and manage respiratory equipment is expected.
• Duties:
  Performing ADLs, vital signs, bathing, toileting, feeding, repositioning, answering call lights, blood sugar checks, and managing patient safety and comfort.
• Additional Information:
  Willingness to float to any inpatient unit, with first priority given to float to other inpatient units. Nurses are expected to troubleshoot respiratory and telemetry equipment, and interpret telemonitor readings. The unit utilizes Cerner charting system. Nurse aides/patient care techs are present on the unit.
• Other:
  Two days of unit-specific orientation and one day with a preceptor are provided. No trauma level specified. The dress code is navy blue.
