We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to drive growth by acquiring new merchants and expanding partnerships for our payment gateway solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong sales skills, a deep understanding of digital payments, and the ability to build long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, target, and onboard new merchants (e-commerce, retail, SaaS, fintech, etc.)
- Promote and sell payment gateway solutions (online payments, APIs, checkout systems)
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and trends
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to customize solutions for clients
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and negotiations
- Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation → pitching → closing → onboarding
- Monitor competitor activities and suggest improvements
- Ensure client satisfaction and handle post-sales support coordination
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
- 1–4 years of experience in sales/business development (preferably fintech/payments)
- Strong understanding of payment gateways, digital payments, APIs, and fintech ecosystem
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive
- Experience working with payment processors, banks, or fintech companies
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS compliance, fraud prevention, and payment security
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot)
- Understanding of local and international payment methods
- Number of new merchant acquisitions
- Revenue generated / sales targets achieved
- Conversion rate of leads to clients
