Key Responsibilities
- Revenue & Market Development
- Own country-level P&L, revenue targets, and market share for WESSPL's BESS portfolio; identify, develop, and close large-scale utility, C&I, and government BESS projects.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline across IPPs, EPCs, utilities, and energy agencies in the assigned territory.
- Customer & Partner Management
- Develop strategic relationships with distributors, EPCs, project developers, and key accounts; lead contract negotiations and deal structuring.
- Define country-specific go-to-market strategies aligned with WESSPL's global commercial framework.
- Market Intelligence
- Track competitor activity, regulatory developments, and BESS market trends; provide actionable intelligence to the leadership team.
- Champion WESSPL's brand and BESS value proposition at trade events and industry forums.
- Team Building
- Build and manage local sales teams and channel partners in the assigned territory.
- Represent WESSPL at industry conferences and with government/regulatory bodies.
Skills & Qualifications
- MBA /
B.Tech with strong commercial orientation; energy storage certifications a plus - 12-18 years in sales/BD; minimum 5 years in BESS or energy storage in an international territory
- Established network with utilities, IPPs, EPCs, and project developers in the assigned geography
- Ability to independently build and scale commercial operations; multilingual capability is an advantage
