What You’ll Do

As our Equipment Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing all of the mechanical equipment that powers our field operations — from gas engines and pressure pumps to hose reels, trailers, and chemical systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing small gas engines (pressure washers, generators, pumps)
  • Performing routine preventive maintenance on all equipment (oil changes, filter replacements, belt inspections, etc.)
  • Repairing and maintaining trailer systems including brakes, lights, tires, and hitch components
  • Troubleshooting and repairing hose reels, spray guns, wands, nozzles, and fittings
  • Inspecting and repairing chemical injection and soft wash systems
  • Maintaining accurate service logs and equipment maintenance records
  • Ordering and tracking parts and supplies needed for repairs
  • Coordinating with field crew leaders to prioritize equipment repairs and minimize downtime
  • Keeping the shop area clean, organized, and safe
Pay & Benefits
  • $17.00 – $25.00 per hour based on experience and skills

Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience repairing small gas engines (pressure washers, generators, lawn equipment, or similar)
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently — required for reading service manuals, communicating equipment status to crew, and maintaining accurate records
  • Basic mechanical tools — must own or be willing to acquire standard hand tools
  • Physical ability to perform mechanical work in a shop environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Strong problem‑solving skills — ability to diagnose issues efficiently and find cost‑effective solutions
  • Organized and detail‑oriented — accurate record‑keeping is essential
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (may need to move vehicles and trailers on site)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal training or certification in small engine repair, diesel mechanics, or a related field
  • Experience with pressure washing equipment, pumps, or high‑pressure systems
  • Experience with trailer maintenance and DOT compliance
  • Experience with 12V electrical systems (trailer lighting, reels, remote controls)
  • Prior experience in a service company shop or fleet maintenance role
  • Veterans of any military branch or public service — strongly encouraged to apply
