This position is considered Seasonal Full-Time, with an approximate start date in March/April and running through December, including some downtime during the off-peak period.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)
- Ensure selection of children is based on current enrollment criteria meeting the Head Start enrollment eligibility guidelines.
- Conduct interviews with families to verify age, income, and residence eligibility. Obtain necessary verification of eligibility and needs.
- Must be able to work with families from the point of application and intake to the program and when needed, throughout their enrollment. Ensure applications are processed on a timely basis and priority points are assigned according to approved priority guidelines.
- Develop, prepare and maintain family records, documents, files, reports, databases and be proficient in Microsoft office applications.
Recruitment:
- Provides input in developing the annual Recruitment Plan and Calendar of Activities, including updates.
- Participates in widespread canvassing, mailing, presentations, interviews, and outreach in the community and follows up with new inquiries.
- Participates in agency-sponsored community resource fairs and other recruitment events.
Volunteer :
- Contact parents using a variety of media to motivate and interest them in attending parent meeting/trainings and to volunteer at local center.
- Provides Community and Parent Volunteer Orientation
- Prepare necessary items for parent meetings/activities including the typing of meeting minutes.
- Recruit volunteers into the program and maintain records of volunteer activities.
- In-kind record keeping and recording.
- Prepare newsletters and upload to data system.
- Prepare Parent Activity calendar with Abriando Puertas (AP) parent curriculum sessions.
- Insure that parent trainings are planned, and responsibilities get distributed equally among CMT members
Data Entry:
- As intakes are conducted, enters with accuracy, the intake applications in Child Plus database.
- Monitors and maintains daily inventory activities/transfers, change of status, enrollments, re-enrollments, and ensure enrollment activities are processed within expected timelines.
- Oversee and monitor classroom attendance records.
General:
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records
- Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education or a related field or a minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting.
- Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Must pass a background check.
- Must obtain clearance of Tuberculosis.
- Must obtain Pedatric First Aid and CPR certification
Required Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl; to reach with hands and arms; to climb or balance; and smell.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Work in an office or classroom setting; may be exposed to electrical shock and fumes or airborne particles; the work may be stressful; the noise level is moderate to elevated.
