Dollar General - - - Responsibilities:
Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; ensure store is properly staffed.;
Provide training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps and counsel up to termination as needed.;
Personally open the store a minimum of two times per week and personally close the store a minimum of two times per week.;
Review operating statements to identify business trends (sales, profitability, turn), expense control opportunities, potential shrink, and inventory issues; follow up on BSR/cycle counts weekly.;
Facilitate efficient staging, stocking and presentation of merchandise; ensure pricing, signage, and fixtures are used properly.
