Student Impact & Experience Assistant

Supports student belonging and engagement by helping the office better understand student needs, improve participation experiences, and foster inclusive community connection across campus.

Student Experience & Engagement

  • Gather informal student feedback regarding programs, events, and campus engagement experiences
  • Identify barriers that may impact student participation, belonging, or access
  • Share observations and recommendations related to student engagement trends and campus climate
  • Maintain interactive spaces such as the Peace & Intentions Wall

Inclusive Engagement Initiatives

  • Help create welcoming and inclusive environments during office programs and events
  • Support initiatives focused on belonging, inclusion, and community care
  • Serving on student committees to increase OBI reach as needed
  • Develop initiatives and engagement opportunities that support student learning, belonging, and personal development

Engagement Assessment & Participation Support

  • Assist with attendance tracking and participation analysis
  • Help identify strategies to improve event attendance and student engagement
  • Support participant follow-up and continued involvement efforts
  • Provide student perspective and engagement insight during team planning discussions
  • Collaborate with Programs, Marketing, and Operations staff to support student-centered initiatives

Additional Duties

  • Support office events and initiatives
  • Facilitate community conversations as needed
  • Hold weekly office hours as needed
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required

What Education And Skills You Will Need
