When you believe that a child's first camp experience can shape their attitude toward school and community, this role might be a good fit. Kinder camp is our Preschool & Kindergarten summer program for children experiencing camp for the first time. We are seeking a Kinder camp Director to lead this program with intention, warmth, and confidence—creating a safe, joyful, and predictable environment for young campers, families, and staff.

Why

This Role Is Different

This is not a hands‑off leadership role. As Kinder camp Director, you are the culture‑setter, steady presence, and go‑to leader when moments get big. You balance structure with empathy, routines with flexibility, and expectations with care.

What You’ll Do
  • Have experience working with Preschool and/or Kindergarten‑aged children
  • Have leadership or supervisory experience
  • Remain calm, patient, and solutions‑focused in busy environments
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with families
  • Understand that behavior is communication
  • Enjoy mentoring, coaching, and supporting staff
Why This Work Matters

For many children, Kinder camp shapes how they feel about school, group settings, and trusted adults. For families, it builds trust that lasts beyond one summer. You won’t just run a program—you’ll help children feel safe, confident, and successful.
