Wellesley Middle School is looking for a Costume Designer for the 2026–2027 School Year. Our drama program will be producing Spongebob the Musical – Youth Edition, Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr., and a play (title TBD).

• Create, source, or modify costumes for two large cast musical productions and one small cast play
• Work with the director to execute the vision of the show
• Attend auditions to gather measurements for actors
• Attend tech week rehearsals to help with last‑minute costume needs
• Plan and work with the stage crew to facilitate quick changes
• Supervise volunteer crew, possibly including middle or high school students
• Manage costume budget
• Participate in strike
• Clean costumes and return to source upon show completion

• Fall:
  Spongebob the Musical – Tech 12/1–12/9, including Saturday 12/5. Performances 12/10–12/12
• Winter:
  Beauty and the Beast – Tech 4/1–4/7, including Saturday 4/3. Performances 4/8–4/10
• Spring:
  Title TBD – Tech 5/28–6/3, including Saturday 5/29. Performances 6/4–6/5

Position Type: Part-Time

Salary: $5,100 stipend
