Responsibilities
- Receiving, dispatching, and recording telephone and radio communications, NCIC and LEAPS communications according to FCC and Department regulations.
- Dispatch vehicles to calls for assistance.
- Keep police and fire personnel informed of all facts affecting safety or the efficiency of their responses to the call.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Perform typing and clerical functions.
- Work any of the three scheduled shifts and be flexible to work overtime when necessary.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to type 35 words per minute.
- Public safety dispatching knowledge of E‑911 and computer‑aided dispatching preferred.
