Salary: $26.24 to $28.80
Essential Functions:
- Responsibilities include receiving, dispatching and recording telephone and radio communications, and NCIC and LEAPS communications according to FCC and Dept. regulations.
- Dispatches vehicles to calls for assistance.
- Keeps police and fire personnel informed of all facts affecting safety or the efficiency of their responses to the call.
- Performs all other duties as assigned. Performs typing and clerical functions.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work any of three scheduled shifts.
- Flexibility to work overtime when necessary is an essential function of this position.
- Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to type 35 wpm.
- Public safety dispatching knowledge of E- 911 and computer aided dispatching preferred.
