Position Summary Information

The Mathematics, Analytics, Science, and Technology (MAST) Division of Babson College invites applications for full-time, non-tenure track visiting assistant professor of practice appointment to begin fall semester 2026. The position will be a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. The successful candidate will teach six course-sections per academic year, depending on the candidate's qualifications and background, on topics that may include descriptive and inferential statistics, simulation, data visualization, and/or predictive modeling based on the candidate's expertise and interests and the Division's needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Teach in our undergraduate and/or graduate programs.
• The teaching load is six courses (sections) per year.
• Assume additional responsibilities as required.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED

• A relevant doctoral or master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must be passionate about teaching data analytics and have a proven track record in both teaching excellence and deploying innovative pedagogical strategies
• Eager to engage with a diverse set of learners, including students from all parts of the world and students at all academic levels (e.g. undergraduate, MS, MBA)
• Demonstrated competency in traditional academic research, scholarship of teaching and learning, or engagement in practice
• A team player, willing to lead and collaborate with faculty from multiple disciplines to design and teach courses in an integrated, cross-disciplinary context.

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK
Babson College delivers courses in many different teaching formats, including traditional semester schedules, half semester schedules, day and evening classes, in-person, and on-line instruction. We offer programs in fall, spring, and summer. This position will require in-person instruction on our Wellesley campus.

This is an exempt position with the following pay range: $105,381-$111,235.
