Mass Bay Community College Adjunct Faculty for Interior Design
Mass Bay Community College seeks qualified part‑time instructors for the current and future semesters to teach courses in and related to Interior Design, including but not limited to Introduction to Interior Design, Architectural Drawing for Interior Design, Materials in Design, History of Home Furnishings, Interior Design with CAD/AutoCAD, Color Theory and Techniques, and Commercial and Residential Presentation Techniques. Potential courses may also include Business, Marketing, and Management.

Key Responsibilities and Duties- Work in collaboration with faculty and others to prepare syllabi and develop curricula in alignment with the vision and needs of the College and its initiatives.
- Meet students regularly at the posted class times and teach assigned courses using effective instructional strategies that promote student learning and preparation.
- Use appropriate assessment methods consistently and regularly to measure student understanding in line with accreditation and College standards.
- Engage in professional development activities to learn current practices concerning education in general, and early college initiatives.
- Utilize appropriate learning management systems for the College as needed.
- Maintain excellent communication with students, department, and division staff throughout the semester.
- Submit syllabi, midterm and final grade reports, attendance records, and other reports pertaining to assigned courses by required due dates.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned by the College, high school, and/or early college liaisons consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and college policies, practices, and procedures.
- Use technology effectively to communicate with students and colleagues and to enhance classroom learning as appropriate.
- Engage in professional development activities to maintain excellence in the discipline and the classroom.
- Willingness to participate in department and divisional assessment activities, including making artifacts available for annual assessment of learning activities.
- Must have a Master’s degree in a related field.
- Teaching/training experience.

- Experience with advising and/or personal and academic coaching, teaching, advocacy, financial aid, personal and career development, case management/outreach, and mentoring.
- Proven track record in innovative, non‑traditional modes of instruction and instructional delivery.
- Strong evidence of passionate commitment to striving for excellence in working with students, faculty, and staff and in responding to opportunities that extend the mission of the College.
- Portray knowledge of higher education recruitment, orientation, access, transition, and success.

Additional InformationSalary Range: $1,397.00 – $1,585.00 DCE per credit.
Position Type: DCE‑Adjunct.
