Elementary RAMP Literacy and Math Teacher - 2026 - Plainville Community Schools - 10 Teaching positions

The program runs from June 29th to July 23rd, 2026, Monday-Thursday. Teacher's work day is 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be two mandatory 5-hour Professional Development days prior to the start of the session, on June 25th and 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and CT Educator Certification required.
  • Experience working with primary grade children required.
  • In-depth knowledge of literacy instruction required.
  • Must have the ability to design lessons based on a balanced literacy approach.
  • Must have a strong commitment to learning.
Responsibilities
  • Work with students within a classroom setting, establishing routines, coordinating resources, developing lesson plans and activities that meet students’ needs.
  • Assess students and track their progress on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain appropriate student data and communicate with parents and other teachers.
Stipend

$3,601.80 for entire session.
