QualificationsBachelor's Degree and Connecticut certification, Integrated Early Childhood/Special Education (#112) or Integrated Early Childhood/Elementary Ed. N‑3/Special Education (#113) required. Candidates currently enrolled in a formal college program to acquire #112 or #113 Certification will also be considered. Experience teaching in a fully integrated preschool program preferred. Must demonstrate a strong foundation of developmentally appropriate early childhood practices to assess and promote student growth in all developmental domains, have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong ability to develop nurturing relationships with students and families, and be able to work well as part of a team to meet the needs of students and to develop and implement student IEPs in an inclusive classroom.
SalaryLong‑term substitute rate of pay is $150 per day for the first 40 days, and then the BA rate of the teachers' bargaining contract. Salary based on teacher contract.
