Graduate Peer Tutor
Department:

Katherine Worthington, Assistant Director, Graduate Academic Services (kworthington)
Pay Rate: $25/hr
Position OverviewThis role provides group tutoring to graduate students, typically one 1–2 hour session per week and additional office hours.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct one group tutoring session per week (1–2 hours) and hold occasional office hours.
- Assist students with problem solving, test preparation, reviewing class material, and clarifying course‑specific problems.
- Prepare for tutoring sessions; spend 2–3 hours per class on preparation, including meetings with faculty and attending class as needed.
- Maintain an Outlook calendar of tutoring sessions and track attendance.
- Communicate with students via email, Canvas, and Outlook calendars.
- Complete required tutor orientation and meet with Katherine Worthington as requested.
- Proctor exams as schedule allows.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
- Demonstrated high academic achievement in the specific graduate course content area.
- Must be a current graduate student enrolled at the FWOlin Graduate School of Business.

6110 – Resource Planning and Control/Managerial Accounting - ACC
7800 – Financial Reporting - ECN
6110 – Entrepreneurial Economics; comparable to ECN
7500 Managerial Economics - FIN
6110 – Finance - FIN
7800 – Finance - STR
7800 – Strategy - OIM
6301 – Programming for Business Analytics - OIM
7800 – Operations and Information Management - QTM
7800 – Business Analytics - QTM
9510 – Optimization Method
- ACC
- Patient and understanding of diverse student learning needs.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to explain course topics and problems clearly in small groups.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Google Drive, Docs, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Calendar).
- Independent problem solver; proactive, resilient, resourceful, and flexible.
