Located in Greater Boston, Mass Bay is a comprehensive, open-access community college, offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.

Position Summary:

Mass Bay Community College seeks qualified part time instructors for the current and future semesters to teach courses in Business, Management, Marketing, Economics, Hospitality, Interior Design, and/or related fields. Our adjunct instructors hold a master's degree in a related discipline and have obtained appropriate certification and/or licensure where applicable.

Key

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare syllabi and develop curricula to address course/program requirements, and student learning outcomes to meet graduation competencies as appropriate;
  • Use appropriate assessment methods consistently and regularly to measure student understanding;
  • Maintain excellent communication with students, department, and division staff throughout the semester;
  • Engage in professional development activities to maintain excellence in teaching and learning;
  • Submit midterm and final grade reports, attendance records, early alerts, and other reports pertaining to assigned courses by required due dates;
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned by the Dean consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a Master's degree in related field;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Community College experience preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body;
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies to promote and evaluate student learning;
  • Demonstrated ability to use information technology effectively;
  • Provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action;

Additional Information:

Salary: $1,512 - $1,715 per credit
