The Education Coach for the Transitional Scholars Program is a part-time, on-site role based in Wellesley, MA. This role supports students transitioning into and through their academic programs by providing individualized coaching, guidance, and academic skill-building. Day-to-day responsibilities include helping students set educational goals, develop study plans, and navigate college resources and expectations. The Education Coach collaborates with faculty, advisors, and support staff to monitor student progress, address barriers to learning, and connect students with tutoring, workshops, and campus services.

The role also involves facilitating small group sessions or trainings focused on college readiness, persistence, and self-advocacy, while maintaining accurate records and documentation related to student engagement and outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in Education and Teaching, with experience supporting diverse learners in higher education or related settings.
  • Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to listen actively, build trust with students, and collaborate with faculty and staff.
  • Ability to work effectively with students from varied backgrounds, including first-generation, non-traditional, and underrepresented populations.
  • Knowledge of college success strategies, study skills, and academic support best practices.
  • Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple student cases and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Experience in community college or transitional/bridge programs is highly beneficial.
