Weissman Scholar Program Student Assistant

I am seeking a student employee to work on Weissman Scholar-related tasks for 4-6 hours weekly during the academic year. This student will support the logistics of the program while gaining new skills and showcasing talents.
WHAT YOU WILL DOProgram Support- Develop/forecast content agenda for Weissman Wednesday Updates (WWU) and produce bi-weekly WWUs in Mail Chimp, support Weissman Community Board (WCB) as needed.
- Book meeting space, order food and arrange other logistics for monthly Weissman meetings.
- Ensure all alumni are on the Linked In page.
- Research and repost WS alumni accomplishments/significant life moments.
- Partner with Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving to publish 1 alumni Weissman Wednesday update per semester.
- Update Linked In pages:
Ensure all scholars & alumni are on the page. - Link scholars’ blogs to the page.
- Brainstorm other content to post on site.
- Research and repost WS alumni accomplishments/significant life moments.
- Improve database/search functionality of Weissman Scholars Program Linked In Group.
- Develop Scholar Support Resources: required course‑specific resources (good sites to help understand ACC
1000, etc.), project ideation resources, pull from FME Project proposal resources.
- Prepare marketing/promotional materials about completed projects.
- Conduct data analysis of project receipts based on Weissman pillars, cost categories and trends.
- Brainstorm ways to scaffold the project proposal process for new scholars.
- Update instructions on the online project submission forms.
- May be asked to work on other projects for Brian or Student Advising & Success (SAS).
- Organize and analyze student surveys.
- Consulting with SAS staff on special projects (first‑gen, other scholar programs, etc.).
- Staff the SAS front desk and phones as needed/able.
- Assume additional responsibilities as required.

- Must be willing to develop strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Calendar), which is the official platform for Babson offices, faculty and administration.
- Work hours will be completed in the Student Advising & Success Suite (on campus/in person). Over time, as confidence in the position grows, some hours may be completed remotely (from student’s room or elsewhere on campus).
- Knowledge about the Weissman Scholars Programs, its scholars and its alumni.
- Familiarity with Babson, its resources, opportunities and events for undergraduate students.
