Locatedin Greater Boston, Mass Bay is a comprehensive, open-access community college,offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.

The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community and have a desire andability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds.

The candidate is expected to commit to excellence in teaching and learning, collaboration and professional development. Adjunct faculty are expected to deliver course materials in a learner-centered environment conductiveto engaging students in the learning process. The faculty member in this position communicates consistently and effectively with students, faculty and administrators, and responds to communications within a 24 hour period.

The faculty is responsible for managing this course through timely grading of assignments, providing substantial student feedback with assignments, and submission of clinical evaluations, attendance and grades.

Mass Bay Community College seeks qualified part time instructors to teach in-person

Introductory and Intermediate Spanish Language courses on the Wellesley and Framingham campuses.

• Prepare syllabi and develop curricula to address course/program requirements and student learning outcomes to meet graduation competencies as appropriate;
• Use appropriate assessment methods consistently and regularly to measure student understanding;
• Maintain excellent communication with students, department and division staff throughout the semester;
• Engage in professional development activities to maintain excellence in teaching and learning;
• Submit midterm and final grade reports, attendance records, early alerts, and other reports pertaining to assigned courses by required due dates;
• Carry out other related duties as assigned by the Dean consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

• Master’s degree in Spanishlanguage, second language acquisition, linguistics, education, or related field;
• Fluency in foreignlanguage;
• Knowledge, understanding,and experience teaching of foreign cultures;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Community Collegeexperience strongly preferred;
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with adiverse faculty, staff, and student body;
• Demonstrated ability touse a variety of teaching and assessment strategies to promote and evaluate student learning;
• Demonstrated ability touse information technology effectively.

Salary Range: $1,512- $1,715 per DCE Credit
