Located in Greater Boston, Mass Bay is a comprehensive, open-access community college, offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary:The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community and have adesire and ability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds. This is a part-time,student employment position with no benefits. The Student Development Assistant will provide support for Essential Student Resource (ESR) initiatives andwill gain hands-on experience in student support services and social service resource coordination.
KeyResponsibilities and Duties:
- Student support, outreach and program coordination;
- Distribute essential resources including hygiene, personal care products, meals and snacks;
- Develop flyers and outreach materials using Canva and maintain resource lists;
- Support data collection and tracking efforts to assess program effectiveness;
- Represent the department at campus outreach tables, engaging with students and providing information on available resources, services and opportunities;
- Complete an independent project aligned with student worker’s interests that supports Essential Student Resources (ESR) and benefits the student community;
- Front desk & administrative support as needed;
- Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff and guests;
- Ability to engage professionally in fast-paced environment;
- Perform general office and administrative duties including answering phone calls, assisting with scheduling inquiries and appointment confirmations;
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:- Reliable work habits and strong time management skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds;
- Ability to maintain privacy and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of affirmative action;
- Experience working in a community college or similar environment;
- Demonstrated commitment to working with students in need;
- Experience creating flyers or promotional materials (e.g., Canva);
- Experience navigating college systems or supporting students through academic processes;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook;

Salary Range: $19 per hour
