Job Overview
Senior Compliance Analyst – Sun Life U.S. Compliance. Hybrid model with 2 days per week office attendance. Supports privacy and regulatory compliance risk across multiple business units and serves as a seasoned professional with deep privacy knowledge and cross‑functional oversight.
Responsibilities- Support privacy program oversight and daily monitoring activities.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIA) and horizon scanning evaluations.
- Investigate privacy incidents, manage escalation, and ensure timely notifications.
- Research privacy/cyber/AI laws and recommend best‑practice controls to business functions.
- Provide expertise for vendor due diligence, RFP responses, and new relationship onboarding.
- Draft compliance bulletins, review marketing materials, forms, correspondence, and other communications in line with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain metrics/KPIs and prepare internal and external reports for varying audiences.
- Participate in annual risk‑based compliance testing to ensure effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree with ≥7 years of regulatory risk and controls experience within a financial services regulated industry (HIPAA, GLBA, CCPA, NY DFS, etc.).
- Strong ethical judgment, analytical skills, and effective written and oral communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and demonstration of AI tools, visual analytics and business intelligence skills.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
