Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance & Administration, this individual will support key accounting functions, including general ledger accounting, month-end close, and deductions management, while assisting with entry-level financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This role is instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining daily accounting operations, and providing financial insights that support informed business decisions.

• Support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and compiling supporting documentation.
• Analyze weekly trade spend and provide insights to cross-functional teams.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding deductions to ensure timely validation and recovery.
• Research, track, and resolve invalid deductions by working through customer portals and coordinating recovery efforts.
• Assist in managing trade deduction disputes by partnering with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and participate in projects that enhance operational efficiency.
• Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Assist in developing and maintaining financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
• Prepare financial reports, analyses, and other ad hoc reporting for management.
• Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support accounting operations and financial reporting initiatives.
