Job SummaryWe are seeking a full‑time, 40‑hour Medical Assistant II to support the practice on‑site Monday through Friday 8:45 am‑5:15 pm. Our Medical Assistants play an integral part in the operations of our community‑based physician practices. Dedicated to clinical support, the Medical Assistant ensures a smooth patient flow within the practice and assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of physician or advanced practitioner.
Our Medical Assistants work 1:1 with providers as well as partnering with one of our Practice Coordinator team members as our support model.
- Coordinate pre‑visit preparations, including addressing the special needs of patients (comfort measures, communication, and other appropriate issues), ensuring relevant labs and tests are scheduled and completed prior to office visit, and organizing paper chart, etc.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and take vital signs.
- Perform a variety of patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant scope of practice, including but not limited to: injections and EKGs.
- Obtain blood specimens in accordance with established procedures while maintaining a professional, patient‑sensitive atmosphere.
- Assist providers with office procedures.
- Prepare requisitions and submit specimens to the laboratory.
- Send electronic prescriptions for patients instructed by providers.
- Communicate with patients regarding laboratory, imaging results and prescription instructions per practice protocol.
- Clean and restock exam rooms.
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality of any and all patient records, including but not limited to treatment, diagnosis, history, medication, and financial status.

Required- High School diploma/GED. Either BLS or annual manikin training, including CPR and AED after 6 months of hire.
- Medical Assistant Course or diploma program or a minimum of 1 year professional experience.
- National MA Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT.
