Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), experience working with women and potentially adolescents. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative, patient-centered care that promotes mental well-being and recovery. Responsibilities- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic evaluations using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or eClinical
Works. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, therapy, and other evidence-based interventions.
- Provide in-person care.
- Collaborate with physicians' other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, medication management, and coping strategies to foster recovery and resilience.
- Support women through all life stages. Potential for working with adolescents.
- Practice in a setting that prioritizes time, nuance and sound clinical judgement.
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with valid licensure in Massachusetts.
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and experience prescribing medications for mental health conditions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively while demonstrating empathy and cultural competence.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Experience or strong interest in women's mental health.
- Comfort working with adolescents.
- 2-3 years' experience
