The Higher Education Assistance Group, Inc. (HEAG) is actively seeking talented System Analysts to join our consulting roster. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience as both a Director of Financial Aid, and a Systems Administrator for one of the following Financial Aid Management systems:
Ellucian Banner or Colleague, Power
FAIDS, People Soft, Workday, Jenzabar or JFA
. Consultants may be assigned to internal training projects or external client work. Assignments may be long or short term, full or part time. Most assignments will be remote, but priority will be given to candidates who can travel.
- Provide system expertise for Financial Aid Management Systems, including programming, data analysis, testing, workflow, reporting, data integration, and system level processes related to file imports/exports, student communications, awarding, verification, SAP, disbursement, withdrawal, R2T4 and reconciliation.
- Understand and apply integration, imaging, CRM, and reporting tools (e.g., Informer, Argos, SQL, Web Focus, Blackbaud, Slate, Salesforce, Campus Logic, or similar tools).
- Adhere to and apply federal and state regulations; manage COD, ED Express, NSLDS, ED Connect workflows, files, reports, and processes.
- Perform data analysis, evaluate testing outcomes, and identify additional programming needs.
- Identify chronological order of transactions and functions; communicate needs and changes to clients; identify and address compliance risks with action plans.
- Build, execute, and analyze data and transactions; identify discrepancies from data research and coordinate resolution timelines with stakeholders.
- Track and log programming changes, testing outcomes, resolutions, and potential audit/compliance risks; multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff; document and share work performed and work still required; maintain regular communication with project management teams.
- Teach and present to audiences with varying skill levels; demonstrate comfort with public speaking and ongoing learning.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as Director of Financial Aid and as a Systems Administrator for one of the listed Financial Aid Management systems.
- In-depth understanding of at least one Financial Aid Management System, including system programming, data analysis, testing, workflow, reporting, data integration, and file import/export processes.
- Experience with integration, imaging, CRM, and reporting tools as listed above.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to financial aid processing.
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to teach, present, and adapt to different skill levels; willingness to continuously learn.
